Product Of My Lens

PONY will always be a product of two things: the city that made us, and the people who believe in us.

Whilst New York has changed a lot since we first came up, the energy that powered its evolution hasn’t, nor have the people. Every day we see the vitality of our communities in the grit and personality of real talent out there doing their own thing.

Antione Reid, professionally known as Noemad, is a NYC-born and raised photographer whose work is deeply rooted in his vibrant surroundings. At the core of his artistry is a style that stems from his authentic connection with his subjects, resulting in immersive and distinctive imagery.

PRODUCT OF_________

TALENT & CRAFT

As a product of your Lens, you’ve had an incredible journey from music to photography. How has your experience in both industries influenced your creative perspective behind the lens?

Working across these two fields has expanded my creative approach and constantly pushes me to think beyond the norm. Each artist or brand I’ve collaborated with has challenged me to reimagine storytelling, leading me to develop a style that enhances the synergy between my vision and their identity. With years of experience, I now strive to create work that feels both distinct and in harmony with the voices I’m helping to amplify

Your work spans iconic locations, especially in New York. What is it about the city, particularly places like Harlem and Madison Square Garden, that inspires and shapes your photography?

The rich history, unmatched energy, and the opportunity to connect with viewers through visual storytelling all deeply inspire me. There’s something powerful about contributing to the cultural legacy of New York—capturing moments that add to its story. Places like Harlem and Madison Square Garden hold layers of meaning, and I’m driven by the chance to evoke emotion, resonating with those who see a piece of themselves in my work.

As a photographer who’s known for capturing authentic moments, what does it mean to you to showcase the stories of those you photograph, and how do you bring that authenticity to life in your work?

It means everything to me to capture and be part of those moments. There’s a deep sense of responsibility and gratitude in knowing that people trust me and my vision to tell their story in a way that’s uniquely theirs. I aim to create a space where genuine connection can unfold, allowing their true essence to come through the lens and into the story.

Your photography is often described as a ‘product of your lens,’ deeply tied to your New York roots. How does the city’s unique culture, from Harlem to Madison Square Garden, shape the way you see and capture the world through your camera?

New York’s culture profoundly shapes the way I approach my work. I’m inspired by the people, the energy, and the endless creative talent that fills this city. Whether collaborating with other artists or capturing raw moments, I draw from the city’s vibrancy and diversity, allowing each shot to reflect the spirit of New York. There’s an authenticity here that pushes me to create work that’s both genuine and impactful.

From your perspective, what role does photography play in influencing culture, and how do you see your work contributing to the creative landscape of New York and beyond?

Photography is embedded in daily life—it’s a core driver of the apps, ads, and content we interact with every day. Visual storytelling is more accessible than ever, with mobile photography allowing anyone to create and share on the go. For me, New York offers endless inspiration and opportunities to create work that’s both engaging and meaningful. Through my photography, I aim to contribute to the city’s vibrant culture while inspiring others to see beauty and connection in the world around them.
